Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Jincove LLC ("we", "us"), operator of cove1, uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) on cove1.com and the Service. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (like browser local storage) store data locally in your browser. They help a site function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.

2. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — required to operate the site and provide the Service, such as authentication, session integrity, security, load balancing, and remembering that you dismissed a banner or chose a theme. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Preferences — remember choices such as language and light/dark theme.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Whether these load depends on where you are (see "Analytics and consent" below): if you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, nothing loads until you accept in the banner; elsewhere they are on by default and no banner is shown. Either way you can turn them off at any time, which deletes the cookies. When they load, we use two third-party analytics services: Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, and PostHog, provided by PostHog, Inc. in the United States. Both set first-party cookies on cove1.com and receive your IP address, browser details, and the page you came from. PostHog also records which pages and features you interact with (autocapture) and records your session so it can be replayed later, with all form inputs masked so anything you type is not sent.

Analytics and consent

How analytics load depends on your location, which we determine from your connection (and, as a fallback, your browser's time zone) without setting any cookie:

  • If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, the first time you visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing loads until you choose "Allow analytics"; if you decline, neither Google Analytics nor PostHog is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
  • Everywhere else, analytics are on by default and no banner is shown.

Your choice — accept or decline — is stored locally in your browser and always takes precedence over the default above, so a decline is never overridden on a later visit. If we cannot determine your location, we treat you as if a banner is required and nothing loads until you accept. Either way you can turn analytics off at any time using the analytics switch at the bottom of this page: it stops both services and deletes their cookies straight away, and we remember it as a lasting opt-out. You can also block or delete the cookies through your browser settings. (Note that if analytics are on by default for your region and you clear the stored choice — without turning analytics off here or blocking the cookies — they will default on again on your next visit.)

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings, and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service. For non-essential cookies (analytics), how they load depends on your region as described under "Analytics and consent" above — in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland we load nothing until you accept in the banner, and elsewhere they are on by default. In every region you can turn analytics off at any time by blocking or deleting the cookies through your browser settings, which deletes the analytics cookies; if a banner applies to you, declining it does the same. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals in a standardized way.

5. Third-party cookies

Our analytics providers set their own cookies once analytics load (after you accept in the banner, or by default outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland): Google (Google Analytics 4) and PostHog, Inc. (PostHog), both acting as third parties under their own privacy policies. In addition, some features and embedded content (for example, payment flows handled by Stripe or media embeds) may set their own cookies governed by those third parties' policies.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
